About us

The Museum of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment in Čáslav is a branch of the National Agricultural Museum - Národní zemědělské muzeum, s. p. o., which specialises in the study and presentation of historical and modern technology used in agriculture. 

In the extensive buildings of the former military car park are a depositary and exposition focused mainly on the mechanisation of plant production, energy sources in agriculture and transport.

The unique collection of tractors and historical ploughs ranks among the most significant and biggest of similar collections in Europe.

The Museum of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment may offer a programme to its visitors with a duration of several hours; the visit to the museum can also be combined with a visit to many sights in the surroundings.

Čáslav is the location of one of the oldest city museums in Bohemia, and not far away is another branch of the National Agricultural Museum – Empire-style Kačina Castle (Czech Countryside Museum), Kutná Hora with its monuments, New Gothic Žleby Castle and the white deer park in Žehušice.
